My Story

I’ve been doing hair since I was nine years old. What started as a gift became my life’s work and after 27+ years in the chair, I built UNEKD on one belief: healthy hair starts at the root, and so does everything else worth building.

This isn’t just a haircare brand. It’s a foundation for my clients, for my community, and for my own children, because I’m building something they’ll inherit, not something they’ll have to start from nothing.

Nyla’s Story

Nyla’s hair growth journey started with loss. As a little girl, she struggled to grow her hair and watching my own daughter go through that pushed me to do what I do best: study, research, and craft.

I spent months formulating, testing, and refining until I found the right combination the exact blend her scalp and her strands needed to finally grow. What came out of that process was Nyla B Hair Growth Oil.
